Life in a Big City
Life in a big city is full of hurry and excitement. There
are large crowds, a long stream of cars and buses, tall buildings and big
shops. There are posh localities with breath streets, air-conditioned buildings
and beautiful parks. People move about in sleek cars. They visit 5-star hotels.
They make merry in clubs. They live in luxury. They have a number of servants
to wait on them. But, this is only one face of life in a big city. There is
another face too. It is gloomy and full of misery. It consists of the slum
areas. These are the areas which have never seen the rays of the sun. No
breathe of fresh air ever enters there. People living in the areas have poverty
writ large on their faces. They present the vary pictures of misery and want.
They are the victims of disease, poverty and ignorance. They are led into the
lap of crime and evil. There is indeed a big difference and large gap the two
faces of a big city
